How to Choose a Wedding Photographer

Depending on your session, that could be a professional headshot, family portraits, engagement photographs, maternity photographs, a personal session, wedding photography or coverage of a special event.
We'll discuss the type of photographs you want, the location and anything else that's important to you.

During the session

You won't be left wondering what to do.
We'll make small adjustments to posture, positioning and expression, and I'll give you direction throughout the session.
But we'll also leave room for natural moments.
Some of the best photographs happen when you're simply interacting with the people around you.

We'll create variety

Even if you only need one great photograph, it's useful to have options.
We'll create different expressions, angles, compositions and poses so that you have a collection of images to choose from.
For a family session, that might mean photographs of everyone together, parents with children and individual portraits.
For a headshot session, it could mean different expressions, crops and backgrounds.
For an engagement session, we'll combine natural interaction with guided portraits.

After the session

Once the photography is complete, the images go through the editing and finishing process.
The goal is to create photographs that look polished while still looking like you.
Colour, exposure and other details are carefully refined so the final images feel consistent and professional.

The most important part

You don't need to be photogenic.
